Our Project Zero is a schools-based programme of activities designed to raise awarenss on climate change and lead to action. It targets students, normally through projects and competitions all designed to reduce the school’s carbon footprint. The ultimate aim is carbon neutrality. A major Project Zero activity was to be launched 2020 March 16 with grant funding by the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme. However,  schools in Trinidad and Tobago were closed from that date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Climate change did not go into “lockdown” and our efforts to combat it must prevail. CZITT initiated the idea of integrating Project Zero with an online platform built on “Education for Sustainable Development”.

What is the Carbon Footprint of learning from home? How can we continue the fight against climate change in the era of COVID-19?

Project Zero integrated onto the online platform aims to be both educational and exciting for students, raising awareness on Climate Change and reducing the carbon footprint of their school-ing .
